UNIVERSITY TUTORING

University Math, Statistics & Quantitative Tutoring

One-to-one help for students facing statistics, business mathematics, calculus, analytics and quantitative courses at Ontario universities.

If the course is moving too fast or the foundations are missing, we go back, fix what is getting in the way, and build from there.

WHAT I TUTOR

Different course names. The same quantitative foundations.

Statistics & Probability

Probability, distributions, descriptive statistics, sampling, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing and statistical interpretation.

Business Mathematics

Algebra, functions, matrices, calculus, optimization and quantitative problem solving.

Data & Business Analytics

Regression, data interpretation, quantitative models and decision-making.

Operations & Quantitative Methods

Forecasting, inventory, productivity, optimization and quantitative management problems.

WHO I OFTEN WORK WITH

“I chose business.I didn’t expectthis much maths.”

A lot of the university students I work with are studying business, management, marketing or related programs. Mathematics may not be the reason they chose their degree, but statistics, analytics, calculus and quantitative methods still become part of it.

Sometimes the current chapter is not the real problem. The difficulty comes from algebra, functions, probability or another concept that was never fully understood or has simply been forgotten.

We go back to what is missing, rebuild it clearly, then return to the university material.

HOW I CAN HELP

From “I’m lost” to knowing what to do next.

01

Understand the course

Slow difficult concepts down, work through examples together, and understand why each step works.

02

Rebuild the foundations

If an older concept is blocking the current material, we go back and fix it before moving forward.

03

Prepare for exams

Identify weak areas, organize your revision, practise relevant problems and prepare efficiently for midterms and finals.
