Start from the real problem
If the current topic is difficult because an older concept is missing, we fix that first.
I graduated as an engineer, and I’ve been tutoring since 2016. Over the years, I’ve worked with students at very different levels, from Grade 11 and 12 students preparing for university to university students facing statistics, calculus, business mathematics, and other quantitative courses.
A lot of the students I work with are not starting from a perfect foundation. Maybe algebra is rusty, some basics have been forgotten, or the course simply moved too quickly. That is usually where we start. We find the gap, go back to it, and rebuild from there until the rest of the course starts to make sense.
My sessions are one-to-one and fully online, in English or French. Students can choose the language that feels most natural for them and their course. I work through problems step by step, explain the same idea in different ways when needed, and give students enough time to understand what they are doing before moving on.

If the current topic is difficult because an older concept is missing, we fix that first.
We break problems into smaller parts and make sure each step makes sense.
If something needs another explanation or another example, we stay with it.

Send me the course code or topic you are struggling with and we can see whether I’m the right fit.
